On Sunday medical examiners stated that they will require more examinations so as to determine what exactly killed Syracuse sprinter whose dead body was found at a hotel in Times Square during spring break.
The results from the autopsy which was conducted on the body of Sabrina Cammock are currently awaiting further studies, Julie Bolcerr, a spokeswoman of the medical examiners said.
According to the police there was no sign of criminality which was found when the 21 year old sprinter was found dead in her apartment at around 9.20 a.m. on Saturday. That said it is good to note that the hotel in itself declined to give out any comment with regards to the death of the sprinter which was first reported by the New York Daily News.
Syracuse sports website have stated that Cammock, who specialized in sprinting, had recently taken part in a 4*400 relay event which was held at the 2015 ACC Indoor Championships which was held at Virginia Tech.
The school’s track and field coach, Chris Fox stated in a statement that, "Sabrina was a wonderful and remarkable person and student-athlete," adding that, "Our team and coaching staff are devastated by her loss."
A statement that was released by the university’s Dean of Students, Rebecca Reed Kantrowitz, stated that the 21 year old sprinter was studying public health at Syracuse University. In addition to that she had also taken part in an internship program which involved medical quality assurance.
While she was in high school, Cammock ran for a Catholic Girls School known as The Mary Louis Academy.
